Government of Canada Funding Support
The African Sports and Cultural Alliance (ASCA) acknowledges the receipt of $130,000 in funding from the Government of Canada to support the delivery of the project:
Unity in Action: Building Inclusive Communities Through Sports and Culture
This initiative is designed to promote multiculturalism and advance anti-racism efforts by supporting the inclusion and participation of Black youth in the arts, culture, and community development sectors. The project will provide structured training and mentorship opportunities to support skill development in governance, project management, advocacy, and leadership.
ASCA will work in collaboration with community and sector partners to deliver governance and policy-focused training, with the objective of strengthening organizational capacity and contributing to policy discussions that advance inclusion and equity.

Project Overview
Project Location: Metro Vancouver
Target Participants: 25 Black youth
Community Engagement: Approximately 50 organizations across the Black community and the arts and culture sector
Key Focus Areas: Multiculturalism, inclusion, and anti-racism
Implementation Period: 2025–2026 Government of Canada fiscal year
Project End Date: March 31, 2026
