Food Vendor Requirements

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all event attendees, all food vendors participating in ASCA events are required to obtain a Temporary Food Service Permit from Fraser Health.

This permit confirms that your food preparation, handling, and service processes meet public health and safety standards in British Columbia.

Food vendors must submit their application directly to Fraser Health at least 30 days prior to the event date. Approval from Fraser Health is mandatory before final vendor confirmation is issued by ASCA.

Who can apply to be a vendor? +
ASCA welcomes food vendors, merchandise vendors, artisans, small businesses, community organizations, and service providers whose offerings align with our cultural and community events.
Is there a fee to participate? +
Product and service vendors may participate at no cost for select events. Food vendors are required to pay a participation fee of $300 per event day once their application is approved.
Do food vendors need health permits? +
Yes. All food vendors must obtain a Temporary Food Service Permit from Fraser Health and apply at least 30 days before the event. Proof of approval must be submitted to ASCA before final confirmation.
How long does vendor approval take? +
Vendor applications are typically reviewed within 7–14 business days. Approved vendors will receive confirmation details and next steps via email.
Will equipment such as tables or electricity be provided? +
Event logistics vary. Some events may provide shared infrastructure, while others require vendors to bring their own setup. Confirmed vendors will receive detailed setup guidelines before the event.
